Ron Elliott, good to hear from you. Guys, if you have not heard Ron Elliott play, you need to. I have been attending Scotty's Steel Guitar Convention for well over 30 years. Over those 30 plus years there are particular performances by pickers that really stand out in my memory. Like the time Emmons was at the Convention with Ray Price. Like the time I saw Bobby Coffer play 13 big, and different, chords without any pedals or knee levers, and his bar hand never moved from the fret he was on. One of those very special performances, I will always remember, was when Ron Elliott played the St. Louis Convention. Ron played a medley of tunes from the armed services, Navy,Army,Air Force and Marines.
His performance at the St. Louis Convention ranks right up there with the best of the best. Ron has some tapes and CD's for sale, and I advise checking them out.
