i have always wanted a bike. i had one a long time ago. i want one now. to tell the truth i am messed up got a broken leg that never healed and my back is not in too good of shape either. my niece and her hubby was here for a couple days they left yesterday riding a trike from the trike shop in mn. it looks tough very cool looking. I WANT ONE! brand new today it will cost $26000 that is a lot of money but i have been looking on the internet and have found a bunch of em on there used for like $5000 to $15000 that is more my speed. so by next spring i will probably have a trike. i don't need a motorcycle cause i am afraid i will get messed up worse than i am already. all i can say is keep steelin and keep ridin. sid the kidd |

Sydney, Don't overlook the sidecars, I had one that would hold a guitar, an amp, two dogs, a weeks groceries whatever. Very handy vehicles, not all that expensive. Some of them really look good too. John Drury |

Hey all you Harley Bikers, Tomahawk Wisconsin (home of Harley backage manufacters) is having their annual "Colorama" ride again. That means about 15,000 bikers (with an average of 2 per bike = 30,000 people) are going to be at Tomahawk over this weekend. It'll be loud to say the least.... ------------------ |

The breakfast run to Loveless Cafe was a huge success, steelers rode there in the droves...... Okay there were three of us. It was a nice ride, the weather was perfect, the food was excellent, bicuits were hot (inside joke) call SGN for details. After breakfast a nice leisurely ride in the country to an airport where Bobbe keeps an immaculate Cherokee 180. He an Damir went for a spin to Tullahoma to check out the Staggerwing museum. It was a great time, we need to do this more often, with more of us. John Drury |

So many Beemer riders that play steel......I can't believe it! I've got a R75/6 that I modified with a pair of 1000cc jugs. Riding's almost as fun as learning a new lick on the steel, huh! |

Damir, you were a great co-pilot on our Sunday flight to Tullahoma TN.(after our cycle ride that was just as much fun with John Drury). Next time you fly left seat, seriously. Thank you for posting the pictures of 2 of my airplanes,(Colt and Archer), but what about the BMW R-100 that I love too? Yes, motor cycling is more fun now than at any time in my life. I just wish it was as safe as flying! Steel guitars, Airplanes, Motorcycles, Hot Rods, is this a great country or what? Bless the steel players, the world over! Hobbies and toys forever! bobbe |

I own a 2005 Harley Davidson Electra Glide (FLHT). I used to own a Sportster Custom. It's nice to see so many "steelers" into bikes. We're a rare breed in many ways! |

I currently ride a 2000 1500 drifter(kawasaki) that looks like a 1948 Indian. I guess I'm just a nostalgia nut. (197? pro 111 custom and 1970 laquer push pull) |

Put the Shannon clan down for a "rice burner", and a 1948 Harley 'EL'. Yup, an old 61 cubic incher. Stays locked up most of the time but it still runs and leaks oil, just as all old timers do. The 'rice burner' is a 1985 Honda Goldwing Aspencade SE Limited Edition. Super road bike for the missus and me, bought new and will probably go to the grave with me.

2001 V-Star... stripped down + custom paint. Looks great, rides great, but I never get to ride it long distances due to a lower back injury. I keep changing stuff on it just like my steel. I'm thinking about adding a knee lever but cant decide which turn signal should be L or R.... ------------------ |

....Fred Shannon's post..."Stays locked up most of the time but it still runs and leaks oil, just as all old timers do.".... Now Fred....my wife does keep me locked up for my own good, but I still "run" and I don't leak oil! ....and anytme you want to get rid of that old Harley and make some room for another "rice burner", just let me know and I'll come down and get it! www.genejones.com [This message was edited by Gene Jones on 30 September 2004 at 08:45 AM.] |

Cowboy, I've been leaking something for a long time but I don't think it's 'oil'. Not for sale, not for sale, not even to give away. It shakes the thunder out of one when ridden, but it moves out pretty well. BTW, they're only letting me out on weekends now. Stopped the 4 and 5 nights a week in the 'tonks' and playing a sit down job on friday and saturday. Cowpoke ------------------ |
