Did the Opry make tapes of it's shows? I am sure most GP fans would kill to hear the Byrds Opry performance (I would). I wonder why no one has ever dug that tape up? |

I've been watching this thread, and biting my tongue, 'cause I wanted to say... From a steel player's point of view, one of the most compelling versions of this tune has to be from the Gram Parsons Live '73 recording, with two heartwrenching steel solos by forumite Neil Flanz. Oh yeah. -John |
