I always wanted to be an astronaut, ever since I was a kid. But, my eyesight and math skills were not quite good enough to make it. Steve, I hope you will post here on the forum when you get home and give us some good war stories! ------------------ Strats thru a VHT Super 30 Band Pics |

In the "what's your hobby" thread, Steve said his hobby is "fixin' and flyin' old airplanes." He got to do a little of that this week. |

I think he'd be a shoo-in. He's got the world view, and plays something cooler than the sax, which is better than playing nothing but an iPod. And he sounds like a humble, honest guy. Well, that lets him out for pres....
Looking forward to seeing Steve back home. How about a new brand, NASA Steels? "There's no cabinet drop in outer space." [This message was edited by Charlie McDonald on 05 August 2005 at 06:21 AM.] [This message was edited by Charlie McDonald on 05 August 2005 at 06:22 AM.] |

You know those guys and gals have got to be extremly brave to go up in a rocket at 17000+ MPH. I have a LOT of respect for all the astronauts. I had no idea Mr. Robinson played steel guitar. I pray for their safe return. Terry ------------------ |

One of our aerospace heroes is a steel picker too? How cool is that? This fact only enhances the tremendous amount of admiration I hold for you guys Steve. We're all wishing you and the rest of the crew a successful mission and a safe return. All your threads left out how Steve is such a warm and thoughtful person. I was looking for Winny Winston's pedal steel book. Steve sent me a brand new one at no charge to me even though I offered. I did recipricate by sending him a semi-antique ShoBud tuning guide from the late 60's early 70's. Now I have more reason to be proud of him now that I know he is a spaceman. The other thing is I found that he lives near my brother in Texas. ------------------ |
