OK, so every once in a while I would do the western shirt thing...and wouldn't you know, Bob Warford would wear a Hawaiian shirt!

I just can't seem to match!

Pittsburgh Steeler playoff game last year, tailgate party. Where's the Mullen you ask? In the car, it was thirteen degrees that morning.

Chuck, Is it too soon to say GO STEELERS!???

Chas, man, I gotta see this in person one day... bow, dulcilmer mallets, and steel guitar, awesome.

Jim, it may sound funny, but I'm on your side of the dress argument... in that it's not what I judge a band by (indeed I have heard some pretty sucky players all decked out in the finest of threads.... no Dave Z cetainly is NOT one of them ...

my problem is... I've worked so damn hard to earn my right to be on the square footage of any stage I'm on... it just makes me want to "dress up" in new duds when I'm there (get plum riled at other folks who don't respect this sacred territory too... like drunks climbing up on the stage... that is drunks not in the band )

now back to Chas' instrument

My other gig is R&B... this is the Tokyo AllStars -- a pretty great band when we get together... -L-

Different gig, different guitar.... same clothes. Another faux pas. Did I go home between gigs? I'll never tell.

Chuck Lemasters should get some kind of award. That's dedication...13 degrees, he's still smiling...and it was in the morning too! GO CHUCK!

Marlin,

That is not a smile, it is a frozen grimace. Actually, those Steeler gigs are a lot of fun, regardless of the weather.

A shot of the band at an ultra-casual gig. If you can't dress up, you need a gimmick. Here I am balancing a REALLY large Coke on the headstock of my guitar while the other guys hide behind their mics...

Oh God, please stop displaying those horrible pictures of old Swedish dance bands from the 70s They bring back traumatic childhood memories of listening to my parents' radio ...

Anyway, this was my outfit at a recent gig:
