OK Guys,

So far the guesses have been:

PeeWee Whitewing
Bobby Garrett
Tom Brumley
Blackie Taylor
Rex Endicott
Ralph Mooney
Billy Tonneson
Red Rhodes
Billy Mize
Mike Headrick (you can rule this one out for reasons such as chronology and lack of talent)
Herb Remington
Dick Stubbs
Jimmy Day
Marion Hall
Wayne Gailey
Billy Bowman
Bob White

I must confess that I actually do know who the player is, and I will post his name shortly. He is one of the steelers listed above, but just for kicks let's take a final vote on who you think it is.

Like my previous post stated, according to the time frame, location, and venue it had to be either Red Rhodes or Ralph Mooney and at that time Ralph was playing out more than Red so logically, it's Ralph....JH in Va.

Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

It's Ralph Mooney. Bob Hickish's reply will direct you to a link where I announced that it was Moon. Anyone wishing to send him a message may add it to this post. I'll be printing it out for him soon.
