...Randy Beavers at our Georgia Peach Jam, June 12th at the Hollonville Opry House, Hollonville, GA! Randy will be debuting his new CD as well as fascinating us with his flawless delivery and impecable style. We're currently talking to several other monster players that have not confirmed yet. Combine that with the talent we have in our membership, and it will be another great Jam. We also welcome guest players to join us, just let us know you so we can add you to our play list. And our staff band...you just can't say enough about them! All are encouraged to come join us for a day of great music and fellowship. For the golfers in the crowd, we are planning a golf outing for Saturday, June 11th. Come join us for both! I will need advance notice if you plan to participate in golf so the arrangements can be made. I hear Randy is quite a golfer, better put him on my team! Mark your calendar!

Roger,

Count me in for both the music and the golf. It's always a challenge trying to keep up with Randy on stage, I think I might have a better chance on the golf course. I think I'd better be practicing both though.

See ya soon

Yep, I'm going to need some strokes from Jim on the golf course. I better leave this steel alone and get to practicing my short game!

Hey guys,
I'm really looking forward to another great Peach Jam!! Hey Roger - who do we have on the play list so far? Is Steve Gambrell coming? Should I ask Larry?

Can I drive the golf cart and take pictures on Saturday?

Brett...FOR SURE you're on the play list! Another South Carolina steeler, Bob Strum will be here as well. Also Rob Parker says he has plans to be here for golf and pickin'. Bob Evens will open the Jam in his typical gospel fashion that will be a blessing to all. Don Lynch and Bill Cook from Alabama have already logged in,as has Steve Geis. Larry Sasser and Dante Harmon are checking their schedules as we speak. Tommy Dodd along with Timeless Highway will be on hand to entertain us, too. We haven't confirmed, but expect to hear from the "Bills" (Ferguson, Nicholson and Cunningham). Larry Moore wouldn't miss it for the world. Jack Conyer says he's bringing his entire band! I haven't heard for sure from Ernie Cawby...what's up? Ernie's a real supporter of the GaSGA! There's still some open slots in the program, so sign up quick at rogerc360@aol.com . Be sure to check out our web site www.georgiasteelguitar.com and our host site for the Jams www.hollonvilleopry.com .
See you all there for a great time!

Bump for the show.

You guys are a riot.

Bill Cook, I am glad YOU FINALLY made it back from the TSGA. When will Lynch be arriving? There are so many family members when we go to the beach, if you leave that giant cowboy hat at home you can probably be lost in the crowd and we won't need Audra's permission.

The dogs are doing great. They're just waiting on October.

I still can't believe yall left me in Texas even after I begged for a ride home with yall. That's a long walk from Texas man!!If I give up my giant Cowboy hat my bald head will reflect the sun's rays which will result in blinding people. I guess that may work since Miss Audra will be temporarly blinded by the sight and may not notice me. But, What we gonna do when its dog feeding time?? Me and your dogs have reached an agreement to share and share alike. When Miss Audra feeds us she is sure to see my bald head chowing down with my brothers and sisters!!!!!!!She may even get angy at how much I eat!! Lynch, myself and probally some more of "THE ALABAMA GANG'" will arrive in the AM. I have Lynch working on a good rendition of "ALABAMA JUBILEE". I may be sporting a new pair of shows if Mr. Crawford comes through.

I regret that I'm going to have to cancel. I'm going to have surgery on my left shoulder again May 11th. I've torn the bicep tendon underneath the rotator cuff, and the doctor will have to cut through the rotator cuff muscle to get to it. I'll be up and runnin' again soon, but not that soon. My apologies.

Randy, you just couldn't get your short game ready in time, huh?!?! Sorry to hear about the surgery, and you have all of our prayers for a full and speedy recovery. You and Judy are still welcome to come and just hang out if you'd like. Or is that like watching people eat ice cream while you're on a diet? Again, get well soon and maybe we can get you back for the December 4th jam. See you soon.

Roger, If Bill Cunningham feels bad enough by now to foot the bill for my new pair of shoes I will gladly take a pair of Lucchesse 2000 Caimen Alligator Tail Cowboy Boots. Size 10.5. Ain't too particulat about the color but would prefer Black Cherry if availiable. If he is not footing the bill, which I see no reason why he shouldn't I will just take a pair of brown or black Brogans. Size 10.5. Bill I thought you already had a pair of gator shoes.
Looks like the Alabama gang will be well represented at this one. Being born and raised in Montgomery they may accept me for membership, if I play sweet enough.

Looks like June's gonna be a great month for steel guitar in Georgia.
I've added the Ga.SGA show to our calendar and would like to remind everyone, that if you have a steel guitar show in your area, please let me know about it.
I've been working to keep the Steel Guitar Show Calendar current and that can only happen with your help!
Check out the current calendar at the website below.
Thanks!

Ernie,
You are an Honorary Member of 'THE ALABAMA GANG' You are in the same class as Miss Laney being since yall both were born in ALABAMA. Will have to make it official and form an ALABAMA STEEL GUITAR ASSOCIATION . That way we can get many more members for 'THE ALABAMA GANG'

Ernie... we hate to not be able to include Randy this time around, but we have a good looking roster. Confirmed players include (in random order)Bob Evens, Don Lynch, Bob Strum, Ernie Cawby, Brett Day, Barney Miller, Steve Geis, Bill Ferguson, Rob Parker, Jack Conyer, Tommy Dodd, Roger Crawford. A highlite of the day is sure to be Dante Harmon. His Sacred style really brought the house down last time, and he will have his Praise band with him this time. I don't know if the roof will stay on the place! I'll keep the list updated as others confirm. We are also looking forward to a personnal appearance from Moby of the "Moby in the Morning" radio show. Moby is a steel guitar lover like the rest of us and will be supporting us with some plugs on 92.5FM. If we twist his arm, he may just sing for us,too! YEAH,BABY!!!!
See You Soon,

I hope that Bill Cunningham is taking responsibility and providing the finances for whatever yall have for me. Still can't believe a Formulite and fellow Charter member of the Georgia Steel Guitar Association would leave me stranded in Texas. Man, that was a long walk home. Wore out my shoes. Looking forward to seeing all the nice folks in the GSGA. They are "The Best"
