Where do we get them, Kenny? I'd be interested in trying something else. I love the 'Golden Gate' thumb-pick, but I've long been a little discontented my too-pliable Dunlops.Roger R. |

Guess what?!! After reading this thread, I checked my 'current' picks - somehow I've managed to mix up the Dunlops and I've been playing for months with a mis-matched pair (an .020 and an .0225)! No wonder I didn't like them....I've done a search for ALL picks in the house and resumed play with a pair of .025s - MUCH better! How did THAT happen? Makes me want to play all the gigs in the last six months all over again..... in Naples. |

Hi Roger, I think Frenchy's Steel Mill in New Mexico carries the pro-pik's. I would imagine any on-line bluegrass music supplier carries them as well. I bought mine from the Bluegrass Musicians Supply here in Columbus. They are $2.50 per pick, and well worth it. |

I have some very thin point ProPiks and have been using them mostly with a red/white Jeff N. thumb pick. Works well for me so far. |

Here you go, Kenny: http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum5/HTML/007061.html I've settled on the "medium/small" in mediums, nickel/silver split wraps & ordered me some more for backups. I've been practicing quite a bit more lately, & these picks are not only comfy, they sound SWEET. Me happy. |

I purchased a set of split silvers, a set of split brass (mellower & softer attack to the string) & a metal wrap thumb with a plastic hybrid pick for the thumb. I like them all alot. They are very comfortable, stay on the fingers and thumb, good guage thickness & come in a cool little black, plastic, round container that keeps them from being smashed. Great product! My cheapest investment yet that really enhanced my playing and the "tone" (I really hated to use the word "tone"; this may change the entire topic of this thread. I apologize in advance. I considered deleting the word "tone"; oh my gosh, I did it again. But, I decided to plunge forward with it.) I have other picks as well but find these to be my favorite. |
