Surely someone with close ties to the company can run this by them and provide some kind of an answer, and save everybody a lot of trouble and embarassment.Did the company mention anything of the merits of this particular order when requesting the previous thread be closed? Cor: do you have an order number, cancelled check or receipt? EJL |

Obviously, we still don't know Emmons (Rebecca) side of the story but heck Cor shelled out 4500$ and did'nt get his horn i feel for the guy what would you do if this happened to you ? go over w: a 12 gauge and ride in the back of a cop car or say well Emmons is too cool fer school, they'll come through i suggest that those of us who are more than 2000 miles from NC, all order a model like Cor did from Emmons (Rebecca)so they can make his while we wait for ours |

hi crowbear, i think it isn't a good idea because there are not enough parts to build.joking.........!!!!!!!! well i don't know guys. hi eric, i ask them a 100 times to sent me an estimate plus given me the total price for my guitar with all the extra options or not but loud and clear they didn't so what else can i do to lay it by the attorney general or put it here on the forum ( but as you have read i didn't start this thread again but anyway it's a big big shame to the former from this company the great Ron lashley senior. THE MAN WHO WAS MAKING THIS GUITAR A BIG SUCCES. cor[This message was edited by Cor Muizer Jr on 15 September 2004 at 08:52 AM.] [This message was edited by Cor Muizer Jr on 15 September 2004 at 08:59 AM.] |

First of all I feel sorry for Cor because he has paid a lot of money in advance and didn't get his guitar ( yet ).But I don't understand one thing and that is: Why didn't he ordered his guitar from the dealer in The Netherlands who imports Emmons guitars for nearly over 30 years here.I and many others have ordered their guitars through him with no payment in advance .Pay on delivery. Why has he ordered directly from Emmons and take that risk in the first place when we've got a dealer in The Netherlands ?

It's getting harder to buy one thru a dealer. There was a post here by a Nashville dealer with a long history with them dropping the line. This same dealer used to post here that you are better off buying from a dealer. I can understand that people trust the name due to the many people who love and play these. |

Cor, Don't you realize that the only thing you get by stirring a pot is more stink? |

Cor, do you have a copy of the money order, or only a copy of the money order receipt? A money order receipt only proves that you bought a money order. For your case to have any merit, you'll have to prove that someone from the Emmons Co. actually cashed that money order. This would require a copy of both the front and back of the original money order, so that the signatures and banking transactions could be verified. |

I think he knows this quite well, Erv.If this deal stinks as bad as it looks from the info we have here, I think it's a good idea to let every one know. If the stink is bad enough that everyone notices, maybe there will be some steps taken to resolve the mess. If not, keep stirring! (my comments here are my own, I'm not a moderator in this section) |

As Donny says, a money order receipt only proves that someone bought a money order. Was the money order sent to Emmons Guitar Co? And, interspersed along this thread, are ACTUAL stories of guys needing, and receiving, parts from Emmons. After the restructuring, and Ron jr. and Rebecca taking the company back over, does anyone actually BELIEVE that the most respected, and INARGUABLY best-known name in steel guitars, would pull a stunt like this? BTW, I mean NO disrespect to the other steel builders out there. There's some fine machinery being built---but has ANYBODY been at it as long as Emmons? |

The Emmons Co. has many friends here, and we'd be glad to hear a word directly from Emmons on the matter. This present pattern will only result in further damage to the company, and that would be a shame. Their product is excellent.Rick (Edited in the interest of fairness)[This message was edited by Rick McDuffie on 21 September 2004 at 08:53 AM.] |
