In talking with Mike Mantey at Mullen, he mentioned the new "Eon" pickups from George L. Has anybody heard or tried these? I'm really happy with the tone of the Truetones currently in my Mullen, but have been running into a few clubs where the hum is simply outrageous. So looking at Humbucker options... thanks for any help!

I have tried them on my Zum and they sound good. I have used every George L pickup they make and like the Eon the best. They are wound to 17.5 and use steel blades instead of stainless steel. The sound is full with clean lows, smooth highs and a bit more mids. It sounds good, but it won't sound like a single coil. Read the post below listed as Zum pickup size. You can hear them at the Carter site.

Carter has some sound clips off that pickup on their website. Sounds pretty good.
