having taken my new sd-10 by ron's for a few minor adjustments a few months back,i encountered one of the new re-issues of the p/p's. I had owned 1 of these in the past and I could not tell any difference in the the two. seems to me that parts will be available for many yrs. to come. ron was telling me how many people were interested in purchasing a new p/p.I don't think we have any worries about parts. |

This I really, really don't understand. You got more than 4000 people at hand that you could sell your products to, and you, like, just don't care? I'm shure that the presence of the Fabian's and Mike Brown for instance helps a lot creating an excellent and customer friendly image of their products.
I'm shure that many manufacturers of things would be very greatful for a promotional tool like this. MArtin ------------------ martin abend Pedal-Steel in Germany s-10 sierra crown gearless 3 x4 | GiMa squareneck |

When I took my "all pull" to Ron Jr. to get a couple of changes done; he showed me a better idea than the one I had and it saved me money. I was amazed at the man's expertise at working on my guitar and he went out of his way to help me. Later I thought to myself, hey Ron Sr. taught him well. I still like the sound of this guitar as well as any I've heard and better than most. I have always been very pleased with the service I have received from Emmons. |

I bought a new Emmons LeGrande III last November (2004) and found Ron and Rebecca Lashley to be great to work with. They returned my calls promptly and shipped the guitar as promised. The guitar is beautiful and plays great. I wanted an Emmons because I love that tone. There are a lot of great guitar builders and maybe some better than others, but I've noticed the Emmons goes pretty quick when one is for sale on the forum. ------------------ Darrell Owens www.darrellowens.com |

Bill, a blue Legrande II in excellent condition will sell for $2853 on eBay, even if you don't know anything about it and don't post the setup. My guess for a Legrande III in similar condition is about $3300.Charlie |

I talked with Ron 2 minutes ago. The business was open and even working on Memorial day...he says he has cut the wait time down some...for most orders he thinks will go out in about 24 weeks. Very friendly, very upbeat. Phone answered promptly, and call returned from Ron in about 30 minutes. |

Just a thought about Ron's non-participation here on the Forum. As I said earlier, I bet he can sell all the guitars he can make, and today's post - quoting a 24-week wait - would seem to confirm that Emmons are substantially back-ordered. As far as raising the profile of the Emmons name goes, it's hard to imagine how much higher it could be! The name is promoted in half the threads on this site, and, along with Sho-Bud, will probably remain as an industry leader, historically speaking. Zum has no internet presence at all, yet this doesn't seem to cause a stir at all.... RR |

24 weeks (6 months) is a reasonable wait for a custom guitar. In January 04 I asked Gibson to build me an HRF baritone. They said "Ask again in 6 months". So I did, and the reply was "Ask again in 6 months". I'm not going to ask again because I'm getting out of 6-string, but that response is typical of custom shops. The last guitar I bought from Gibson's Custom shop took 20 months to deliver. Charlie |

When I was shopping for a double neck couple years back I called Emmons twice. Once, no answer, second time left a message, no reply. Called up Bruce Zumsteg, he picks up the phone. Sold. |

Now thats the way to run a business.Bruce will sell you what you want, and you don't have to wait 2 or 3 days for him to get back to you. Cause he's got his act together he can tell you there and then what he's got and when you can get it. |

If they have a 24 week wait, then why hasn't Randy received his guitar. He says it has been 14 months????I don't understand that long of a wait.....This is the 21st century after all....... |
