Maybe already answered, but I couldn't find anything in "search"...1. Are there 8-string bars? What would be different between that and a 10-string? 2. Are they available in 1 1/4"? Might seem like dumb questions, but I really don't know a ton about bars. I have a Dunlop, Twister, and a 1 1/4" plexiglass bar that is actually my main playing bar. It sounds amazingly good, but a little tough to use on the lower "frets". Very quick because of the weight - but it's the size that really is the thing I like.[This message was edited by Jim Sliff on 08 June 2006 at 07:49 PM.] |

Let me clear a few things up, some dealers thinks we are out of bars according to their web site, we are not, the only ones we are waiting for is the new bars that are lighter, and I'm stocking up on all sizes so that the dealers will have them when they are ready, for instance the 7/8 10 string bar is the ones that we were low on, but I've got a few completed to fill the rush orders until the others are finished. Hopes this clears up some confusion, we've got the 15/16", 1", and 7/8" ready for shipping. Call Shirley at 731-364-3519 or email bjsbars@frontiernet.net and you will be taken care of. Thanks, Bill |

Update on the bars, they ship to go to Heat Treat tomorrow 6-22-06, they should be done at the heat treaters next Thursday, two days shipping to Centerless Grinding, so that's July 3rd that they will arrive there, so three days up there, two days to ship back to me, that's around July 11th or 12th, then the big rush sets in polishing and buffing, then after that Industrial Hard Chroming, it's looking like 1st or 2nd week in August to have them ready to ship. So, hang tight they're in the works. Thanks for your patience, Bill |

Bill - You can add my name to your long list of satisfied customers. I had 10 string 1 7/8 bar that has served me well and I just received my 15/16 bar and it is just what I hoped it would be. Fits my hand, my style, and adds just what I was looking for to my sound. I couldn't ask for more! - Tom Palmer - D2F Covers |

Bars are heat treated, headiong to centerless grinding, it will take two days on the truck-line, I'll contact centerless grinding and see what their schedule is and keep you posted, they will come back to me when finished and the polishing and buffing will have to be done by me, then off to Industrial Hard Chroming. So everyone hang in there, it's getting closer to being completed. Hang on........ Bill |

Hi Patrick, The length of the 10 string is 3 3/8"long. Email me at bjsbars@frontiernet.net I should get the bars back from centerless by Monday of next week. Polishing & Buffing and Industrial Hard Chroming follows that, we're looking around the first or second week in August. Sooner if I can, but I will personally deliver these bars to Industrial Hard Chroming 500 miles away after I polish them. Hangon everyone, I'm pushing as hard as I can. Bill |

Guys these are some of the best bars yet, so far I'm pleased with everything that's been done, and I'm very picky.... Heat Treat is great, centerless grinding is the best that I've ever had done. The guy called me when I was unloading them off the truck, and ask me to open the boxes and and tell him what I thought, I said what did you do different, they look great, he said that he did a little extra for me, and boy did he ever. This is just one of the things that is done to these bars to make them the way they should be made. Shirley is filling out the shipping labels with your name and address on them, waiting for them to be finished and she will put them in the box and off to the guys and gals that has their form in. No checks, money orders or credit cards will be deposit until they are in the box and ready for her to ship them out. So if you're waiting until they are completed that's fine, but the received orders will be processed first. Thanks to all that uses the BJS Bars. Bill |

Well good news, 320 bars are going to Industrial Hard Chroming Monday morning, I should have them back the following Monday. So all received orders will be filled and shipped the first week of August. Thanks to all for your patience. BillLet me clearify a couple of things: (1) I've got calls asking what is a plain nose bar? Answer, it means no Birthstone in the tip end of the bar. (2) The Birthstone bar is a stone set in the tip of the bar for the month you where born, for instance if you were born in September the stone would be a Sapphire (Blue color) or any color you choose for a different Month. I've had guys that don't like the month color that they were born in, and choose a red stone, that's ok whatever you want. |
