Larry B, its all really how you look at it. 435 is either 20% out of tune or 80% in tune . I tuned the E9 neck straight up to 440 and then retuned the 3ds so I didn't hear any beats, checked it with the tuner and this is what I came up with. This seems to give me the best overall tuning. The Jeff Newman settings seemed to sound great on some chords and then not so great on other chords. For some reason I can't bring myself to tune the E9 straigt up to 440. I guess it would take a leap of faith.
