Robert,
"Sweet Beulah Land" & "Ten Thousand Years" arrived in the mail today. Thanks a lot! Are they written in what is called "shaped" notes? That's for the different voices to sing by, isn't it? We're not familiar with that up North.

Erv,
Glad you received the songs ok. Very perceptive with your quick take on the "shaped notes". You may know this (maybe not)... each shape corresponds to one of the 7 scale tones (do-re-mi, etc)which with a little practice allows a singer or musician to recognize the tones without a lot of formal music theory preparation. There is a great exhibit of the shape note history in the Southern Gospel Music Museum at Dollywood, if your ever down that way.

Regards, Robert

The same goes for George in Canada & John in Alabama.

CrowBear, thanks for the goodies from the PairO'Knees. You'll have to help me out, though, on tabbing "I'm Climbing Higher Mountains".

CrowBear,
I know that I make a joyful noise. Because the last time I played, the people started laughing and I heard one lady say: "My goodness what is that awful noise!"

Yes, I got caught short with my $$$$$$. I have some more coming however. In the meantime, I'm including a real cute card that talks about giving your worries to God.
Crowbear, maybe I should start sending out francs!
Larry, I'll mail your tab today.

Yes, CrowBear, I found it most interesting!
I realize that that can be quite a dilemma for a lay person let alone a preacher! You know what they say: "The Jews don't recognize Jesus, the Protestants don't recognize the Pope and the Baptists don't recognize each other in the beer joint!
Uff-Da!

p.s: Keep pickin' for the Lord!

CrowBear,
That must be a French tune. Do you know the title to the song that goes like this:
"When you're smoochin' with your honey and her nose is kind of runny. You may think it's funny but it's snot"?
That one is real popular up here in Minnesota, especially in the Winter time!
Have a nice weekend!
