My selection for FREE gospel tab this month will be "Precious Memories". This is a good old gospel song and some of you have already requested it. All you have to do is ask for it and I will get it on its way. If you haven't requested tab before, I'll be needing your snail mail address as I send my tabs out through the mail. I will be attending the Gospel Steel Guitar concert in Indianapolis this weekend but I still have some time before I have to leave to get some tabs out and will take care of the rest after I get back. Let's keep steelin' for the Lord! Erv |

Crowbear & Paul, I'll get your tab on its way! And yes, CrowBear, there is always a faint odor of sardine oil in my music room. You just can't beat it for lubing up the old Emmons. It sure keeps me busy pickin', pushin' pedals and trying to kick the cat out of the way all at the same time!! Paul, glad you are making good use of the money I send along. That is my reason for sending it. To give others something to thing about. Keep pickin' for the Lord! Erv |

Thanks for all the requests and I'll get them out tomorrow. And Will, I got your e-mail and new address. This FREE gospel tab ministry I have going really brings a lot of joy to my heart. And I'm glad you guys seem to enjoy it. I just got back from Indy and the Gospel Steel Guitar show and what a blessing I received! All those talented players sitting up there on the stage giving praises to our Lord and Savior on instruments on 10 strings! What a show! Many thanks to Doug for all the work in putting this on for 11 years now. No matter what we do, though, remember that it is only through the death and resurrrection of Jesus that allows us the opportunity to spend eternity in His presence! Bless you all! CrowBear, glad you got your tab and, no, I haven't heard the one you mentioned. At the gospel steel there were a couple of songs this Yankee never heard before but I sure liked them. They were "Beulah Land" and "Ten Thousand Years". I wouldn't mind working them up. Robert, I'll get that tab out to you right away! Erv |

Thanks, Erv. I'll look forward to receiving the tab! "Sweet Beulah Land" and "Ten Thousand Years" would be two wonderful choices to work up. My wife sings/plays piano with a gospel quartet and she is always humming/playing these tunes. Old gospel classics, for sure. We have the music if you need it (out of the church hymnal). Anyway, hope you decide on one or both of these! Best regards |

OOOoopppps! My wife says "classics" but not "old classics" 1970 on "Ten Thousand Years" and 1979 on ""Sweet Beulah Land"!! Need to keep peace in the family |

Robert, Please send me copies of the two songs out of your hymnal. If you do, I will attempt to work up the tab. Neither of these songs are in our church's hymnal but then you have to realize that our hymnal was translated originally from Norwegian. Uff-Da! P.S.: If you need my address, It's in the upper left-hand corner of the tab.[This message was edited by Erv Niehaus on 06 May 2003 at 09:06 AM.] |

Robert, I sure do thank you! Look forward to working on those two songs. You can maybe accompany your wife on the steel if I get them worked up. Crowbear, my G pedal raises the 7th string from an F# to a G. I use it every once in a while for a nice effect. I also raise my 1st string from an F# to a G with the same pedal. Marian, I'll get that tab in the mail for you right away. Erv |
