Now that everyone has "honestly" reported their age I will tell you mine now that you-all have "told" yours. Thought I would be the oldest, and I know that a lot of other guys are really older than me-so being the second oldest here I am very proud to inform all of you as to my Age. I come from a family of long livers-you should have seen how long my Dad's was. Mom's was even longer and that makes me very glad to be 69 this past October. Hope I can stay at this number for a few more years with this much energy. This was a good post. How old are you Bobby Bowman? or did I miss your posting? LOL |

I am 61! I as responsible for the mambership list of the Atlantic Steel Guitar Club: out of 90, or so, past and current members, I can count on my fingers (probably on one hand) the ones under 60! We have to fight over the "Handicapped Parking" at our Jams! |

Eddie Lange, I don't want to burst you bubble but I think Jonathan Cullifer from the Atlanta area repoerted in at 12 years old and he can play...just ask John Hughey. That makes you 2nd youngest, I think. ------------------ |

At 45, I believe that makes me not quite half Chris Ivey's age. And, being 45 is the one thing I might be able to do almost as well as Paul F... hehehe |

Hi Group: I sure hate to raise the average age level but here goes....58 years old. My Fender 1000 pedal steel guitar that I bought around 1964 from Red Rhodes is almost 44 years old. My Fender Jaguar lead guitar that I bought new around 1967 is almost 34 years old. Finally, my recently acquired Fender PS 210 pedal steel guitar is almost 29 years old. I've got other gear of course but I don't want to burden you with their ages; and I won't mention my wife's age. The old adage is: it's not how old you are but how you feel and live your life. I'll close by saying that I also believe the challenge that the steel guitar offers to "all" of us helps keep us young. Keep pickin' and keep sharing here on Bob Lee's Steel Guitar Forum. ------------------ |
