Gentlemen: I know that we have abused this subject nearly to death, but I notice we have a lot of new (beginning) players on the Forum. How about a new survey of the average age. (I'm hoping to see some younger folks taking up THE BEAST).

I just turned 58. That still beats you Jerry
Hase AKA (C-6 Sucks) LMAO
Does anyone want to beat this topic some more?

46, unless there's a cute young redhead around that my wife doesn't know about. Then I'm likely to 36.

The reason I'm such a hot picker is
"cause I started playing 'way back when I
was sixty. That was seven years ago.Lets see
in dog years, that would make me sixty-one.

45 as of this month. Steel pickin' after all these years...

IMHO dept./ the PSG is not an easy instrument to learn, nor does it attract chix, so I played hand-held guitar and bass in my younger days. Got the girl, then went for the steel! The good news is, she likes it too!

My average age is the sampled once daily, sporadic output of a random-number generator, which seems to also control L/R brain functions, BUT.... my birth certificate reads 08/51.
While on statistics & info, I'm a former trumpet & electric bass player, currently a standard six-string acoustic or electric, rhythm/lead guitar geek, not PSG, and recent student drummer.
The way my battle with arthritis has been going, there might well be a Dobro and / or similar instrument in my not too distant future. Thanks for asking. :>)

44 and just beginning. I wish I had started years earlier. It's a challenging instrument.

I'm 57. (Jim, another little survey that would be interesting is Where players are located. Some sort of map showing "density"(of players) would be sort of neat.)
