This should be a good Jam and time. Ricky Cottle has some good talent lined up for this Jam. All are welcome.

Hey Gang! Looking forward to a great jam on the 13th. Planning to have five or six pickers at a time to play twenty to thirty minutes depending on how many show up. We will have some of the local folks and others playing backup. We also have multi-talented steel pickers that have agreed to help with backup. Bring your steels and amps or whatever and let's have some fun. We are also talking about getting folks who may be interested in forming the backup band for the ASGA. Looking forward to seeing all of you on Saturday the 13th.

Tom...I agree with you about that pucky green steel that "the Kid" was pickin yesterday at the show. I think he must of got that wild green steel from his sister or his great aunt!! Still love the Kid even tho he picks funny looking steels! HA

Tom and Bill may be Zumbody's, but they don't know anything about STYLE...

"Puke Green" is the new black, and even sounds better. When I play this steel, I make a statement before I ever hit a note.

"KID". You sounded much better picking that Great "FUZZY" Guitar. Tone to the Bone. You let it slip away from you. You now will go the rest of your life thinking about that "FUZZY GUITAR" and the lost opportunity. Oh well, You still have the pukey Lucky Carter.

Tyler...I have to admit, even with that rather 'unigue color' steel, you just amaze me with your 'unique' playing. I do believe you sounded the best playing Bill "Fuzzy" Cook's "unique" 1901 Fuzzy Steel Guitar...come to think about the jam, the whole thing was 'unigue'. HA HA

Your new CD could be called, "From a Fessy to A Fuzzy!" by Frenzy the Kid! HA

Bill, I've always been "unique"!!!

Anyhow, I had a great time at the jam, and I think everyone else did too. It was good to see everyone again. Hope we get to do it again before too long.

The Jam had some good pickers. A big rain come up all over the South, so the crowd wasn't as good as we expected. Every one seemed to have a good time. Bill

The "GANG" had is huge Banner with a sign attached that said "Welcome Steel Players", then it listed Dennis Pardoe,Don Lynch, Smiley Roberts and Mike Cass. The guys seemed to like their welcome. Doing good things to welcome fellow Steel Players into the State.

If you haven't been to one of there shows you owe it to yourself to attend. Our principal advisors come from the GaSGA and we love them. Come out on Sunday!!

The Bama Gang are really cookin' down yonder. How many members do you have now?

I passed along the information about The Kid being in Marshfield and arranged for the Missouri boys to keep an eye on him. They'll snatch 'em up straight if he misbehaves (in the wrong way).

Keep me posted on what's going on and I'll keep spreading the word. One of these days I'm gonna make it to one of your events. Hopefully soon.

Miss Lana,
We have about 50 members now I think. We just sent our "KID", A/K/A Tyler Hall off to Missouri to play in Terry Wood's show. Terry played in our show back in February. I am sure it will be a great show. Thanks for all you do for us and all the steel players.

I'm back! You guys really missed a great show. There were some great players there. The show was a big success, and I think everyone had a good time.

Miss Lana, thanks for the big hug, and all the kind words. Terry Bethel really made me feel right at home. I really think you should choose someone prettier to deliver your hugs though...

I want to thank the ASGA for pushing me, and all the support. I really appreciate it.

I'm glad you had a great time and I knew you'd knock 'em out down yonder.

Take care and see ya soon!

Miss Lana, I will have "THE KID" in Tow and we are coming to St. Louis. I have a car full of "GANG" members allready and we may have to make further arrangements, ie, van or maybe even a bus. Looking forward to meeting you and all the nice folks up your way. Gotta get busy and get registered etc. We will be represented!! Thanks Roger and Scotty for your comments. Roger besides being The President of The GaSGA, is also a "GANG" member. Glad he is going to St. Louis cause we might run out of money and have to borrow some. Thanks to all for all you do!!!!. Bill

Miss Lana, The "KID" likes to eat bugs. In fact I think he will eat about anything. I know we are looking forward to our visit to St Louis. Us older guys will have a duty roster to watch the "KID" and attempt to keep him out of trouble. On a serious note. We will be having a "Formal" Jam Saturday October 14, 2006 up in Yankee Land, Birmingham, Alabama. Tim Bridges, One of our Advisors, has put together a great day for some good picking, fellowship and meeting new friends. The Jam will be held at "The Rocky Ridge Market & Deli" in "The Rock Bottom Bar". We will kick it off at 11.00 AM on the 14th. The address is: 2501 Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham (Vestavia), Al 35243. Phone # is 205-822-2227. There will be TV's for the college football games. Every one is welcome.
Bill
