I'll bet those Duck Pluckers would be big hits in some of the places I've played, cause they sure look like a lot of the audience members. When those guys request a song you do it whether you know it or not! Scary! ------------------ |

The Pluckers are pickers, but they're also talented in other ways. They do their own auto repairs. Comes in handy on the road. [This message was edited by Doug Beaumier on 08 August 2006 at 09:50 AM.] |

The Duck Pluckers were in Hawaii recently for a bunch of gigs...
...some of the local musicians down there wanted to meet them...
...but the Duck Pluckers feel threatened by women who can play their instruments better than they do... [This message was edited by Mike Shefrin on 08 August 2006 at 11:24 PM.] |

The boys were upset by what they had seen on the runway, and clamored to get off the plane, until a quick-thinking stewardess told them that the plane in the grass was just tired and was taking a little nap. Reassured, they continued their flight home... |

The Duck Pluckers are in Nevada. Their next gig is at Bubba’s Brew Pub.
It’s a pretty cool place, and they have a nice garden in the back.
The boys are staying at the best hotel in town.
It’s a 5 Star hotel... nothing but the finest.
They even have a storage area for guests

Bubba's niece plays some guitar. She was hoping the Duck Pluckers could give her a couple of lessons. They declined though because they're busy doing their laundry and watching TV. [This message was edited by Doug Beaumier on 09 August 2006 at 01:52 PM.] |

Yes, Terry there is. Go to the end of page one and then to page two of the thread to see how Lester came in to play steel pedal with the Duck Pluckers. (unfortunately, you have to to read this silly thread from the beginning to understand some of the stuff here ) [This message was edited by Mike Shefrin on 09 August 2006 at 10:09 AM.] |

The lead guitar player is sitting in the passenger seat

When the boys aren't busy touring, they like to relax, so they unwind by going bowling at Rocmar's...
..it's a great place to watch chicks...

There is a lounge in the bowling alley, and Jacko Fellatino entertains there every afternoon. The Duck Pluckers have become big fans. They like his raw, unpretentious style. [This message was edited by Doug Beaumier on 09 August 2006 at 02:31 PM.] |

Rico Odwalla is another local favorite. He can play in any language. He just flips the instrument over. He loves to play parties and weddings.

If it ever gets out that the Pluckers' steel player plays a ZB, this thread could easily break 1000.... The Glitter Band subs for the Farkus Bros
But then, Stuffparty subs for the Glitterband
When Rico can't make it, Bob Harrison covers for him [This message was edited by chas smith on 09 August 2006 at 05:04 PM.] [This message was edited by chas smith on 09 August 2006 at 05:07 PM.] |

The Polkaholics also live nearby. This area has a lot of talent.
And if All fails, the club can always call Father Manuel Garcia de los Santos.
Father Garcia’s opening act is Davida Ortiz Manuel Ramirez.
