A couple of years ago this gentle began calling our shop and requesting parts to build a steel guitar. We would visit at length. As many know we have sent parts to folks " open account" for many years. Meaning we would ship in "good faith" and let you mail in payment when received. And still do today. We began sending assorted big ticket items to this customer. We were paid at first. However, to date we are still owed several hundred dollars for 2 changers units. I saw these posts about his problem with Emmons and emailed him, since I didn't know how until now. He emailed back as if it were undeliverable himself to look like the server had done so. Like Mr.Hinson suggested, I too would have to see receipts for any money paid.Perhaps, the folks at Emmons have a side, too.

Would it be out of place an inappropriate to request that Buddy Emmons mediate this sad issue?

Thanks Duane for the info. For some reason the good folks at Emmons would sit around and let the place fall in on them before defending themselves on thisforum.I guess they feel they have greater priorities.Sometimes I think they under estimate the power of the net......bb

There are two side to every story. Too bad we only heard one.

I'm glad this matter has been turned over to the Attorney General's Office. They will get both sides of the story.

I look forward to their findings.

Well as the recent CBS flap has shown, for some years now, P.I.P s, (People in Pajamas), or the "Pajamahadeen" now have control of and instant access to information, and can send it around the world in a keystroke. Good OR bad.

Harley Davidson was totally forced into an extension of there warrantees for five years, and got as close to having to recall EVERY HD motor made in 99-00 as they can imagine because a couple guys in PJs got ahold of a PDF Service Bulletin about Cam Bearings. At first they tried the old "Lawsuit" gig, and it fell flat when they found out that tens of thousands of their customers had the same PDF file.

Businesses that want to compete MUST have a HANDS ON approach to information, and forget about "business as usual", ignoring things they think will go away they way they used to..

Mr's Hilton, Carter, Marrs, Fessenden, Seymour, and others seem to have "gotten" this. They learn they can solve problems instantly at a distance as well.

The internet is a GREAT tool, like the telephone. For the longest time, I'm sure businesses tried to ignore it too.

Damn.. the right foot of my Mickeys™ got caught under my chair... I hate that..

Duane makes some good points, that also seem to parallel one or two of mine.

I am of an open mind, but also was noting that the apearances from one sided information can look bad. At least from a PR sense.

So maybe responding is better than not. and damn the lawyers.. or at least have them draft a response to post.

But IF the attorny general is actually pursueing this, there would have to be reciepts, electronic or otherwise, and a paper trail to follow.

If there is an issue between Cor and Duane, he should also clear this up toute de suite. Since they clearly are in contact now... If not by e-mail... right here.

I am NOT damning any side here, but am making observations...

Also Duane's post reminded me to send him a paypal for the lever kits I just got.
Asleep at the switch since I got back.
Thanks Duane, you're the best!

ooh yes John i have it and at first it suprised me so much after maybe three years hearing that he never received the checks i send out to him, and that hurts me so much

also i didn't understand why i never hear it before and after so long

trust me guys i'm a very honest person and i
speak for myself always pay my bill's
so i'm very suprised about this
aswell to here int in the public ( but it doesn't matter to me i got no secrets) aswell to get an email from Duanne this morning.

but anyway i solve this with Duanne you can be sure about that.

other way i don't know what you've been thinking here but this has nothing to do with my problem against emmons
lets that being said!!!!

Mr.Muizer has made contact and agreed to return the changers, and I appreciate that. I did tell him before going to the forum we could do it privately. But, when receiving the "undeliverable" email it hit me wrong. We are a small company and a hit like this hurts everyone we try so hard to help. We ship countless parts daily to our steel friends, quickly and at a modest price, considering the scarceness and uniqueness of them. Thanks for the help.

A couple of things...
1. Faris, when you say it's your last post, please stop, OK?
2. Eric, thanks for your wonderful, although COMPLETELY irrelevant, info regarding H-D bearings. I guess some things just need to be heard, and somebody has to tell them.
3. Duane, thanks for balancing the equation a bit. If Emmons' dirty laundry is being aired here(if there is any), then Cor deserves the same treatment. Business is business.
4. Finally, to everyone who's crying for Ron jr. or Rebecca to post here---Cor says he's gone to the A.G. of North Carolina. Doesn't it stand to reason the Lashleys have their own legal representation as well?
We can't try this case here on the Forum, and I'm sure the Lashleys have more important things to do than argue here. Remember, they're building push-pulls again, in addition to the LaGrandes.
I know a lot of you guys know Ron and Rebecca personally. I don't. But of those of you who DO know the Lashleys, is there NO ONE who'll say something positive about them, or their company??? nd if not, why all the fuss about what good guitars Emmons are? The Carter is a fine guitar, made better by John Fabian's attitude. I have talked via email with Jerry Fessenden, and the same applies. Good people make good guitars BETTER!!

Stephen.

Everybody should have his or her say on the forum.Maybe it is irrelevant...so be it.Not every one of us know's the Lashley's personaly. But i can tell you that if my name would be dragged thru mud like theirs has been i sure would have answered. That the Push Pull guitars are being rebuild is great news. However that has Nothing to do with this post.

Cor I suggest you calm down! go and make a cup of tea or something!
There are a lot of good people on this forum and a few who change like the wind.
I have been very fortunate that every one here I have dealt with has been honest and sincere.
When I first viewed this topic I got the imppression that there was massive support for your case and anger at the injustice of it. If I was right, there may be another ten bucks on the matt in the morning,Who knows?
Those of you that dissagree with me,Fine! don`t send anything, just carry on wringing your hands, sounding off and saying how aweful it is and how something should be done! ------ and do nothing!!!!!!!!!
I still think this forum is a very great power for justice if we pull together and use it ........ but if the loss of ten bucks would ruin your week....¬!"£$

john your absolutely right but i don't like these few that only can blablabla.... and think that i'm lying here when it wasn't completely true i would never air it here on the forum.

but for these few i would see there faces if they be involved in the same situation as i am now.
and ofcourse i didn't expected it from a company like emmons is al over the years but it's true absolutely true.

I know the Lashleys and I personally like them a lot. They went out of their way to help me and volunteered, I might add. I love my Emmons guitar, I think it is great. In the not to distant future I'm going to make an appointment, when Ron can fit me in, to go down and have a couple more changes added to this wonderful instrument. Would I, personally, buy another Emmons psg? Absolutely. I could just ship the guitar but I like the visit.

Ronald, my point in mentioning the push-pulls, was that the Lashleys have added to their backlog, and have MUCH more important things to do than argue pointlessly on this, or any other forum(except a court of law, if it comes to that).
Hey Farris, you ever meet a guy named Ben Dover?????
And, for whatever it's worth, John, that's a fine gesture on your part, to get Cor his money. When all the fact's are in, email me. If Emmons is found guilty, then I'll be GLAD to chip in.

This thread should be closed. It seems that alot of "FEELINGS" are being expressed here doing nothing more than making matters worse for the Lashley's and for Cor. This matter should be dealt with between the two involved parties. One thing is for sure, the Lashley's are wise not to comment. Slander can be costly; both as a business and personally. Refraining from comment on this forum is the wisest thing for both parties. Take out the emotion and work it out; either between the two opposing forces, or via their legal counsel. There are always two sides to every story. I bet this deal started heading south early. Good luck to the Lashley's and to Cor. I hope it can be worked out without anyone getting hurt further. It seems as though the whole thing got alot bigger than it ever should have.

Thank God we're in America! We do have free speech. However, my Grandpa told me to deal with matters like this like a man and respect the other person no matter what. He also said what everybodies Grandpa said," if you ain't got something good to say, SHUT UP!!!".

Now let's talk about PSG's.
